Dr. Rockhill
About Stephen Rockhill, DPM, AACFAS
Dr. Stephen Rockhill is board certified in podiatric medicine.
He is originally from the Pleasant Grove, Utah area where he grew up enjoying playing sports and being active. After high school graduation, he then attended Southern Utah University where he played baseball. He then served a 2-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in California where he learned Spanish and grew a love for the Latin American culture. After his mission, He transferred to Brigham Young University, during his time at BYU, he coached high school baseball at Pleasant Grove High School. After graduation from BYU, he attended the Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, where he obtained his medical degree in podiatric medicine. He furthered his training in Washington at the Franciscan Foot and Ankle Institute where he completed his podiatric reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgical residency. During this rigorous training in residency, he learned from many world-renowned orthopedic surgeons and podiatrists who taught him many innovative and complex skills. These skills range from complex reconstructive foot and ankle deformity correction to minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Rockhill also furthered his training by completing the Podiatric BAKO Dermatopathology fellowship in Georgia. Dr. Rockhill is published in peer reviewed foot and ankle journals and has presented at multiple foot and ankle meetings.
As a former athlete, Dr. Rockhill thoroughly enjoys treating sports injuries of all ages. Dr. Rockhill’s favorite foot and ankle conditions to treat are bunions, ankle fractures, ankle sprains/instability, Achilles tendon ruptures and end stage ankle arthritis.
Dr. Rockhill’s interests include baseball, basketball, football and almost anything outdoors from fishing to hiking and snowmobiling. He and his wife, McKinsey are the proud parents of two kids, Maverik (4) and Oakley (1). In Dr. Rockhill’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing softball, coaching baseball and other sports, fishing, hiking and being outdoors. He also enjoys supporting his alma mater, BYU, at as many games as possible, Go cougs!
Dr. Rockhill believes in a team approach to care and invites each patient to be a leader in their treatment. His goal is to provide the most thorough patient education so that together they can make the most appropriate plan of care to better help the patient.
