Dr. Tyler Morwood is a Family Medicine physician with a strong educational background and a dedication to serving rural communities. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Brigham Young University and his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He completed his Family Medicine residency at McKay-Dee Hospital and a Community Health fellowship at UT Southwestern. Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, he also holds advanced certifications in ACLS, PALS, and ATLS, and graduated in the top 10% of his class.

Originally from Beaver, Utah, Dr. Morwood chose to practice in Rangely, Colorado, to work in a small town close to home. He is committed to providing comprehensive family medicine, caring for patients from birth through the end of life, and his wide-ranging medical knowledge makes him a valuable asset to Rangely District Hospital. His most cherished roles are being a husband and father, which drive his commitment to the community. Outside of work, he enjoys trivia, Jeopardy!, movies, reading, photography, and exploring Colorado with his family, especially at Dinosaur National Monument.

  • University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas; graduated in the top 10% of my class of 240 medical students.
  • Certifications: Completed my residency in Family Medicine at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah.
